National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day

Pumpkin season isn’t complete without a special day for one of the sweetest pumpkin treats. October 21 is National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day, celebrating one of America’s favorite desserts mixed with an essential fall flavor.

Cheesecake is believed to have been around since Ancient Greece. The earliest mention of cheesecake found is from the Greek physician Aegimus, who wrote a book on the art of making cheesecakes. The version we know and love was more than likely popularized in the early 1900s when James Kraft developed Philadelphia Cream Cheese.
