There have been a lot of interesting dates since the turn of Y2K- 01/01/01, 02/02/02, and on it goes. But February 22, 2022 is an especially fun day because 2/22/22 falls on a Tuesday. Here are one or TWO ways to commemorate “2’s” day.
Taco Twosday: A popular tradition for dinner on Tuesdays is “Taco Tuesday”- it is quick, easy and a family favorite. If you haven’t established a Taco Tuesday in your home yet, now is the time to start! This blog has over 40 different taco recipes just in time for Taco TWOsday.
Twosday Gear: Many retailers are joining in on the fun and producing 2/22/22 Twosdays merchandise to commemorate the day. You can find everything from t-shirts to face masks with fun designs on online shopping giant Amazon.com. While you’re shopping, don’t forget to support a local charity using Amazon Smile. (May we suggest Columbia County Foundation for Children?)
For Teachers: Creative education bloggers have been preparing for this special day for a long time now. They are suggesting everything from wearing tutus to teaching students about homonyms. Some teachers are even planning to get crafty with younger students by giving them a show and tell with their class by bringing things in pairs. If you teach older students, give them writing prompts such as “What will I be doing when I’m 22?” or have them bring in pictures of themselves at 2 years old. You can have any age group pair up for a craft or project and call the time “two heads are better than one”.
We would love to know how you’re commemorating this once in a lifetime day! Share it with us on social media using #BBHTwosDay.
