Gone are the days of traveling out of town for big names in entertainment. The Augusta area has grown greatly over the past few years and has brought many big artists and shows to the area. Now that Covid-19 closures and restrictions are slowly being lifted, many shows are happening again. Here are a few to look out for this fall if you’re in need of a fun night:
Gabriel Iglesias, November 5
Popular comedian Gabriel Iglesias will be performing at the James Brown Arena on November 5. He has been a sell-out headliner for shows at the Staples Center, Madison Square Garden, and Sydney Opera House. His stand-up shows and YouTube channel have gained millions of fans and has been named one of the Top 40 Comedy Players by The Hollywood Reporter. Tickets can be purchased here.
Riley Green, November 6
Country star Riley Green will be playing a show at the Bell Auditorium in downtown Augusta with special guests Corey Smith and Kameron Marlowe. The show is part of his “We Out Here” tour and tickets are available here.
Foreigner, November 9
Popular classic band Foreigner is taking the stage at the Bell Auditorium on November 9. They are playing their “The Hits on Tour” show complete with many of their classic popular songs. Click here for ticket information.
Kicks 99 Guitar Pull, November 16
The Beasley Media Group is hosting the 22nd annual Kicks 99 Guitar Pull at the James Brown Arena on November 16. The line-up consists of Clay Walker, Carly Pearce, The Brothers Osborne, Darius Rucker, Scotty McCreery and Jon Pardi. Tickets are sold out online, but tune into Kicks 99 on the radio for announcements on “ticket stops” that they do around town for a chance to win passes.
I’m With the Band, November 12
At the new performing arts center in the heart of Columbia County, the Burn Foundation of America is hosting a karaoke fundraiser with some of Augusta’s most loved businesses and community leaders. They will be taking the stage for karaoke with local band Whiskey Run and compete for a winning trophy. Proceeds benefit the Burn Foundation and tickets can be purchased here.
Elf, the Musical, December 10-12
Based on the popular Christmas movie, Elf, the Musical brings a stage version of Buddy the Elf to life as he discovers the true meaning of Christmas. The Augusta Players are performing the event on three different dates at the Imperial Theater downtown. You can find tickets and a seating chart here.
